Hultec Expands U.S. Manufacturing Footprint with New Facility in Houston

HOUSTON, Tx. (August 4, 2025)— Hultec, a global leader in engineered sealing solutions for water infrastructure, today announced the opening of its new U.S. manufacturing and distribution center in Spring, Texas. Located at 22500 I-45, Suite 100, the 167,500-square-foot facility marks a major milestone in the company’s domestic growth strategy, enhancing its ability to deliver high-performance gaskets and sealing systems across the U.S. and global markets.

“This new facility and its state-of-the-art technology are a strategic investment in Hultec’s future — and the future of American water infrastructure,” said Tom Ross, Chief Executive Officer of Hultec. “It expands our capabilities to serve the nation’s critical needs while reinforcing our commitment to U.S.-based manufacturing and environmental responsibility.”

The new Houston plant replaces Hultec’s previous Fort Worth location and significantly boosts the company’s production and logistics capacity. With the ability to distribute more than 28.5 million gaskets annually, the facility will serve customers in the water, wastewater, stormwater, utilities, piping, sealing and rubber industries and help ensure safe water for communities around the world.

By shifting freight operations from Dallas to closer to the Port of Houston, Hultec is expected to cut drayage-related carbon emissions by 457 metric tons of CO₂ per year, underscoring its environmental commitments. Relocating closer to the port also enables faster product turnaround for customers, both offshore and in the U.S.

“We’re also strengthening our domestic manufacturing footprint to meet Build America, Buy America (BABA) requirements while positioning Hultec to scale with the future of U.S. water infrastructure,” Ross explained. “We’re supporting American job creation, engineering innovation and our longstanding commitment to Made in America excellence.”

The facility’s launch brings 40 new manufacturing and technical jobs in material science to the Houston area. It is equipped to support infrastructure upgrades nationwide with scalable production of extruded, injection-molded and compression-molded gasket products.

Hultec’s expansion comes at a critical time for the U.S. water sector. Increased investment in sustainable infrastructure and the need for resilient, localized supply chains have positioned Hultec as a trusted partner for utilities and municipalities nationwide.

“This move improves our operational efficiency, reduces our environmental footprint, and strengthens our ability to deliver faster, more reliably and more sustainably,” said Paul Maloney, Vice President of Operations.
